‘Air India agrees to set up a committee to look into pilots' grievances; pilots strike continues

Offering olive branch to the striking pilots, Air India management has agreed to withdraw incentive cut. According to Air India sources in Mumbai, the Management has also agreed to set up a committee to look into the performance incentives modalities as the strike continues for the third day on Monday.AIR correspondent reports that protesting against a cut of up to 50 per cent in their performance-linked incentives, and payment of their due salaries of last three months, senior pilots have been boycotting their work since Saturday by reporting sick. Meanwhile in Chennai, the striking pilots have withdrawn their strike and resumed duty following talks with the management. AIR correspondent reports that flight operations in Chennai have returned to normal.
