Air France, Lufthansa begin flights from India to Paris, Munich

Air France and Lufthansa began to operate flights from India to Paris and Munich after a six-day disruption caused by volcanic ash from Iceland. They became the first airlines to resume services. However, services to other European destinations remained suspended. <br/> <br/>There was no word from authorities in Brussels and Frankfurt for resumption of flights to the two cities. <br/> <br/>Indian carriers mainly operate flights to London, Frankfurt and Brussels in Europe. <br/> <br/>BBC reports that the first plane has landed at Heathrow airport in London after Britain lifted its nationwide flight ban. <br/>
