Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha has emphasized for need of operational preparedness with optimal utilization of available resources. Inaugurating the Annual Commanders' Conference of South Western Air Command -SWAC at Gandhinagar in Gujarat this morning, Air Chief Marshal Raha said that Indian Air Force is marching forward towards major up-gradation of capabilities and infrastructure. He appealed the Air Force officers to keep abreast with the latest technologies with focus on associated challenge. Air Force Commanders of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharasthra are attending the conference. <br/><br/>Earlier, the Chief of the Air Staff and Mrs Lily Raha, President of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) had been received by Air Marshal R.K. Dhir, Air Officer Command -in-Chief of SWAC and his wife at Ahmedabad Airport. Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha inspected an impressive Guard of Honour presented to him. The annual conference is a forum for the Station Commanders to exchange views on operations, maintenance and administrative matters requiring deliberation with Senior Officers at Command Headquarters. Air Chief also recognized the efforts of various units for outstanding performance in different spheres by awarding various trophies.
