Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria arrives in Colombo

Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria arrived in Colombo today on an invitation from Commander of Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana. <br />''<br />''The Sri Lanka Air Force celebrated its 70th anniversary on Tuesday<span style="font-weight: bold;">. </span><br />''<br />''On Friday, there will be presentation of the President's colours to two of Units of Sri Lanka Air Force.<br />''<br />''Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria will attend the inaugural ceremony tomorrow during which a Flypast and Aerobatic Display is scheduled. <br />''<br />''The air show at Galle Face Colombo will see participation by an Indian Air Force contingent comprising of Suryakiran and Sarang Aerobatic Display Teams and Tejas Light Combat Aircraft. <br />''<br />''The Indian Air Force contingent arrived in Colombo on Saturday. <br />''<br />''The flypast will be significant and reminiscent of the Indian Air Force's Suryakiran Display Team performance at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of  Sri Lanka Air Force, two decades ago.<br />''<br />''<br />''During the course of the two day visit, Chief of Air Staff is scheduled to interact with various dignitaries and the heads of Services of the Armed Forces of Sri Lanka.  Indian Air Force and Sri Lanka Air Force have had consistent cooperative exchanges over the years and interact regularly through Headquarter level Air Staff talks to share valuable experiences in the fields of ground and flying training, professional military education, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief and operational best practices. <br />''<br />''Recent years have also seen the two Air Forces increase inter-personnel engagements through exchange visits of serving personnel and families to both countries.<br />''<br />''The presence of Air Chief Marshal Bhadauria during the inaugural day of the Air Show reinforces the strength of Indian Air Force-Sri Lanka Air Force ties. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The visit will further strengthen the existing cooperative process and open up newer avenues of mutual interest.</span>
