The Air Force and Navy have intensified search operations for the missing AN-32 aircraft. Speaking to media Public Relations Officer of the Indian Navy Captain D K Sharma said, the search has covered four lakh square Kilometres. He said, 12 Naval ships and 4 coast guard ships along with 17 aircraft from Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard have been mobilized towards this operation.<br/>Mr Sharma said, the weather improved marginally today thereby aiding deployment of additional assets and intensification of the search in a larger area. <br/><br/>The sea however continues to be rough, making the conditions challenging. He said, various other government agencies have also been requested to provide satellite imagery of the area to aid the operations which will continue till further review of the situation.<br/><br/>The family members of all personnel on board the missing aircraft were reached out to by their respective Services and were assured that they are not alone and the government has mobilized all possible assets in one of the largest operations of its kind.
