Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has said that law of the land must keep pace with the technology in the fast changing Geo-Political environment. <br/><br/>Inaugurating the Broadcast Engineering Society, BES EXPO in New Delhi today, Mr Rathore said, technology revolution has brought a big change all over the world through mobile and social media. He said, public broadcasters like AIR and DD have big potential to provide more information and entertainment using multiple and digital transmitters.<br/><br/>Remembering great Indian scientist Dr Jagdish Chandra Bose who had a major contribution in the invention of radio, he said, India has always been associated with broadcasting and it will continue to do so in the future. <br/><br/>He said, all platforms and contents are coming in the mobile and the technology is taking a big leap forward. Mr Rathore said, FMisation is going on all over the country and in 2016-17 hundred new FM stations of AIR will be established. Mr Rathore also stressed on bridging the gap between educational organization and professional bodies.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Prasar Bharati A Surya Prakash said, India is in the cusp of digital wave and the expo is the best platform for broadcasters. <br/><br/>He said, in the new age of digital broadcasting Prasar Bharati is determined to fulfill its core responsibility given to it by Parliament. He said, AIR and DD are getting ready for the electronic super highway.
