Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Mr. Jagathrakshakan has said All India Radio and Doordarshan have been repository of great music legends and they need to nurture young talents in music. Inaugurating a five-day Music Festival at All India Radio Chennai on Wednesday, the Minister said that there is a need to spot the hidden talents in rural areas and give them proper exposure. Pointing out that Prasar Bharati does not function with the sole motive of earning profit, the Minister said that both All India Radio and Doordarshan, have the responsibility of popularizing traditional music among the younger generations. All India Radio Director General Ms. Noreen Naqvi also participated in the inaugural function.<br/>
