This was revealed in the tenth edition of Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism’s Digital News Report 2021. The study was conducted at the end of January and beginning of February this year. The report says in India print brands, in general, are more trusted than television brands.</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">It said, TV brands are far more polarised and sensational in their coverage. In India, it added that 73 per cent of respondents in the survey access news through smartphones while social media access is high with 53 per cent using WhatsApp and YouTube for news.</span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />” <span style="color: #222222;">The report also looked at the impact of Coronavirus on news consumption and on the economic prospects for publishers. It looked at progress on new paid online business models, trust and misinformation, local news, impartiality and fairness in news coverage.</span><br />” <br />
