The All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation urged the Sri Lankan Government and the UNO to ensure a political solution which will enable the Sri Lankan Tamils to have their due rights. It also urged the Government of India to play its due role for the rights of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

A resolution passed this evening at the conclusion of a 2 Day National Conference held in Puducherry also expressed concern over the prevailing political situation in Syria, Egypt, Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan. The Conference called upon the international community to allow the people of these countries to decide their own future without the interference of any other country.
