All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) to be held today amidst unprecedented surveillance. The AIPMT is being conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) again after a Supreme Court order following allegations of paper leak on 3rd May this year. CBSE has issued a number of dos and don'ts for the candidates including a dress code, which has been suggested to avoid inconveniences to candidates during frisking. The candidates have been asked not to even carry pens which would be provided by CBSE at the test centre. All forms of communication devices have been banned inside the exam premises. CBSE has made arrangements for installing jammers to prevent use of the devices for cheating. CBSE officials said candidates would not be allowed entry after 9.30 am. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, the Supreme Court Friday refused to restrain CBSE from enforcing a dress code for the 6.3 lakh candidates who would be appearing for the AIPMT today. A Bench headed by Chief Justice HL Dattu said the CBSE's dress code is intended to prevent the recurrence of malpractices adopted by some of the candidates. The Bench made the remark while refusing to entertain petitions by minority students and organisations, mainly objecting to the ban on scarf.
