Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha today said the call drop rate in the country has come down by eight per cent in the last one year. Talking to reporters after a meeting on the issue in New Delhi, Mr. Sinha said, the target is to reduce it further by similar margin by this year-end. <br/><br/>He said the last data released by TRAI and the survey done by the Department of Telecom through automated calls to public shows an improvement on the call drop front. He also said, the telecom operators are facing resistance from people in installing mobile towers specially in Delhi and Mumbai. <br/><br/>The Minister said, even after necessary approvals from the government, telecom operators are unable to install mobile towers as they are not getting space to install mobile towers as required.
