Aim of govt not only to bring down death rate but to bring it to nil: CM Uddhav Thackeray

<span style="color: #222222;">In Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today said that the aim of his government is not only to bring down the death rate but to bring it to nil. He said, proper treatment should be given to COVID patients in different districts of the state which can help in curing the patients and will also bring down the mortality rate drastically. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR correspondent reports, setting an example before the world for its effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, people from Dharavi who were infected with the Novel Corona virus and have fully recovered are now coming forward to donate their plasma. An initiaitve in this regard has been taken by local Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale and around 500 people have shown their willingness to donate plasma. The persons who will donate their plasma include, police officials, doctors, politicians and common citizens. The plasma donation drive is expected to be held on 27th of this month. In another development, the General Administration Department has decided to exempt pregnant women officers/workers and women officers/ workers who were diagnosed with critical illness from coming to office, in wake of COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, Janta Curfew will be imposed in Nagpur city on 25th and 26th of this month. Essential services, will remain functional during the period. </span><br />''
