The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, has handed over the report on the five visits made by its team of specialists to provide consultancy to the Apollo Hospital doctors in Chennai on late Jayalalithaa's treatment. <br/><br/>The report was received from the AIIMS administration wing deputy director V Srinivas by the Tamil Nadu health secretary Dr J.Radhakrishnan. The report has been made public by the state government today itself.<br/><br/>Later, addressing the press in New Delhi, Dr Radhakrishnan said the reports are in line with the stand of the state government all along that the former chief minister had been given the best possible treatment that is available in the world in the Apollo Hospital, Chennai since her admission there on September 22. <br/><br/>Saying the AIIMS reports are self-explanatory, Mr Radhakrishnan said it would serve to put to rest what he called wild speculations on the causes of her death to rest. Earlier, in a release, he had referred to the charges made in several quarters that late Jayalalithaa had been administered wrong drugs over a period of time prior to her hospitalization leading to her health complications. <br/><br/>However, he has clarified, medical reports indicate that except for the cortico-steroids administered for skin ailments, she was only taking drugs meant for diabetes and hypertension.
