The Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister C. Rangarajan underlined the need for providing finance and skill development to the small industries outside the corporate fold.Speaking at a seminar in Chennai, he said such industries which have a wider reach and employed large numbers of people had to bear with high capital costs. Mr. Rangarajan said that it would be wrong to categorise small industries as labour intensive in relation to the number of people employed.
