The 83rd Plenary of the All India Congress Committee begins in Delhi today. Four resolutions on political, economic, foreign affairs and 125 years of the Congress party will be adopted at the Plenary to be held at Burari in North Delhi. The draft resolutions were finalised at the meeting of the subjects committee held yesterday. According to party sources, communalism, especially right-wing radicalism, is expected to be the focal point of the draft political resolution. Sources said, the party in its political resolution will emphasise that terror has no colour or religion. Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari spoke about the sacrifices of the congress party in fighting terrorism. The Plenary is likely to call upon the government to investigate the role of RSS and all like minded sister organisations in terror attacks. While emphasising the need for probity, it is likely to take on the opposition for stalling the proceedings in the winter session of parliament. The Congress looks all set to adopt a tough posture on corruption. AIR correspondent says that the plenary is being held at a time when the party is facing opposition onslaught on the issue of corruption.
