AIADMK Party General Council Meeting held in Chennai ends inconclusive

<span style="color: #222222;">The AIADMK Party General Council Meeting was held in Chennai today, amid differences between the supporters of its Coordinator O. Panneerselvam and co-coordinator Edappadi Palaniswamy over the leadership issue. The meeting today ended inconclusive. It has been announced by the Deputy Coordinator K. P. Munusamy that the General Council will again meet on  11th of July with the single point agenda of resolving the leadership issue. AIR correspondent reports, AIADMK general body today rejected all 23 previously drafted resolutions amid a walk out by the Party Coordinator O.Panneerselvam and his supporters. He wants the present dual leadership system to continue while the party Co-coordinator Edappadi Palaniswamy camp favors a strong, unitary leadership.<br />''<br />''The Madras High Court asked the general body not to bring any new resolution today, which has led the Palaniswamy camp to bring the leadership issue to the next meeting. Meanwhile, the party veteran Tamilmagan Usain was declared elected unanimously as its presidium chairman. The crack lines in the principal opposition party in the state is now widening more and more. </span><br />
