<br/>An AIADMK member was suspended for the day in the Puducherry Assembly for his failure to express regret on his remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister yesterday. Earlier, pandemonium prevailed in the House as the member, Mr. Omshakthi Sekhar refused to apologise despite requests from the Speaker and the Chief Minister to express regret. Following this, Chief Minister Vaithilingam moved a resolution seeking suspension of the AIADMK member and subsequently the Speaker, R. Radhakrishnan suspended him. Protesting against the ruling, the other two members of AIADMK staged a walkout.
