Top brasses of AIADMK are meeting in Channai to select new leader of the party as well as Chief Minister of the state. The swearing in of the new Chief Minister will take place tomorrow after the Governor specifies the time.

Meanwhile, Former Chief Secretary Sheela Balakrishnan who is advisor to the present Government and three other senior officials have gone to Bangalore to meet the AIADMK Supremo Ms.Jayalalithaa.

The law and order situation is slowly limping back to normalcy. The Tamilnadu police department has said that severe action would be taken against those who disrupt law and order. Lesser number of train and bus services have resumed as a precautionary measure.
