In Tamil Nadu,AIADMK General Secretary J. Jayalalithaa today announced the names of the candidates for the by-polls for the Vandavasi and Tiruchendur assembly constituencies, to be held on the 19th of next month. Party’s. Mr.P. Munusamy would be contesting at Vandavasi and Mr.Amman.T.Narayanan would be contesting from Tiruchendur.<br/> <br/>The by-election to the Tiruchendur Assembly seat was necessitated after the resignation of Anitha R Radhakrishnan from the AIADMK. The former MLA later joined the ruling DMK. The death of DMK MLA, Jayaraman, has caused the vacancy in Vandavasi. It is to be noted that the Party had boycotted the by polls for the five seats which was held on August 18th. Meanwhile, C P I State Unit Secretary Mr.D.Pandian indicated that the Party would not contest the by-poll and would have to take a decision on offering their support to a particular Front. The State Unit Secretary of the CPI (M) Mr.N. Varadarajan said that the two parties would announce their final decision soon. In another development, DMDK Supremo and actor politician Mr. Vijaykanth said that his party would go alone in the by election.<br/>
