Air India will clear payment of salary for the months of September and October to all its employees before Diwali. The decision follows direction from Civil Aviation minister Ajit Singh. An official release said, the minister had asked the airline to make all efforts to make up-to-date payment of salary to the employees.
The public carrier will also make up-to-date payment of productivity-linked incentive, PLI, for all licensed category employees for May and June this year. The airline will incur an expenditure of 230 crore rupees for payment of salary and 200 crore rupees for payment of PLI.
