Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh today said that the government is willing to discuss every issue but reiterated that striking pilots should withdraw their strike first. Talking to reporters in New Delhi today, Mr Singh called the strike irrational. He said as union has been derecognised, so as union representatives, he can not meet them. The High court has already declared the strike as illegal.
Today is the seventh day of Pilots' stir. Air India spokesman said that 14 flights from Delhi and Mumbai have been cancelled today. Meanwhile, Air India Executive Pilots Association EPA has announced its support for the agitators. The contingency plan which was supposed to take effect today, has not been finalised as yet.
The striking pilots while stating that they were ready for talks showed no signs of returning to work, leaving passengers fretting with holiday schedules going haywire.
