AI implements contingency plan , Pilots’ strike enters eighth day

Air India has implemented its contingency plan to avoid inconvenience to the passengers due to Pilots' strike. Air India spokesman told AIR that as part of the contingency plan, the National carrier operated international flights to 5 destinations from Delhi. These destinations are Toronto, New York, Frankfurt, London and Chicago. He said that more national and international flights will be operated in near future.

The spokeman informed that booking of Air India flights has been cancelled till 18th of this month. Over 200 Air India Pilots have not been reporting for duty in protest against rescheduling of training programme of dreamliner and issues related to their career progression.

Air India Pilots' strike continued for the eighth day today.
