An Air India Kochi-Kozhikode-Riyad flight with 197 passengers and 12 crew made an emergency landing at Kochi airport shortly after take off after smoke was noticed in the cabin. Airport sources said smoke was noticed after about 30 minutes of the take off and the pilot immediately diverted the flight to Kochi airport and landed safely in full emergency at 0820 hrs.The passengers panicked as the smell of smoke entered the cabin. They have been shifted to nearby hotel. A relief flight is being arranged to take the passengers to Riyad.
