AI board meeting in Chennai today

<br/>National Carrier Air India’s top management at its Board meeting in Chennai today will discuss ways to implement a turnaround plan which will include both cost cutting and revenue enhancement initiatives. The meeting is being chaired by the Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Arvind Jadhav. The management is understood to be contemplating abolishing Productivity-Linked Incentives (PLI) of top executives as a part of cost-saving plan. Air India pays around 1,500 crore rupees annually as PLI to its over 30,000 workforce. Recently, the management had proposed to reduce the PLI of its executive-level officials but withdrew after a strike by its executive pilots.
