In Gujarat, a magisterial court in Ahmedabad today issued notices to Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigating Agency (SIT) after social activists Teesta Setalvad and Mukul Sinha filed two separate applications in the Zakia Jaffery case.

In their applications, Setalvad and Sinha have sought the copies of the SIT report filed in the Zakia Jaffery case.

The next hearing in the case will be on Monday. The SIT yesterday filed a closure report in the sealed cover on the complaint of Jaffery, wife of ex-Congress MP Eshan Jaffery.

However, there was no official confirmation whether the closure report had given a clean chit to Chief Minister Narendra Modi and closed the cases against him.
