Ahmadinejad nominates new Foreign Minister

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has nominated the Head of Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran and the caretaker Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi as the country's Foreign Minister. The State TV website today reported that Mr. Ahmadinejad today presented Salehi as Foreign Minister to Majlis (Parliament). Majlis will discuss the nomination of Salehi in the following week. The President dimissed the former Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki last month.
