Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia today termed RBI decision to cut CRR a step in the right direction. He told reporters in New Delhi that growth should take precedence over combating inflation. Mr. Ahluwalia said that CRR cut would have stronger impact on interest rate rather than simply adjusting other rates .
