UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is hosting a lunch on Sunday for its members as also those from supporting parties ahead of the Vice-President elections. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said non-UPA MPs from SP, BSP, RJD and JD(S) are also being invited to the lunch.
The ruling alliance is confident of a comfortable win with 500 plus votes in the electoral college of around 790 in the Vice-Presidential elections scheduled on August 7.
The Vice-Presidential polls will witness a straight contest between UPA nominee Md. Hamid Ansari and NDA candidate Jaswant Singh.
