Ahead of poll, Bihar clears pending warrants

The Bihar Police is executing pending non-bailable warrants in view of Assembly elections in the state.Director General of Police Neelmani told AIR that over 11,000 non -bailable warrants have been executed so far. Over 57,000 non -bailable warrants are still pending.AIR Patna correspondent reports that over ten thousand persons have been identified for maintaining a strict vigil on them as they can influence the election process in five thousand five hundred vulnerable places.Four illegal arms manufacturing unit have been unearthed and over five thousand cartridges have been seized during raids. Altogether 508 cases of violation of model code of conduct have so far been received.Most of the cases are under defacement of property act. FIRs have been registered in 323 cases.
