Congress today said the agricultural economy of the country has been paralysed due to demonetisation. <br/><br/>Briefing media in Delhi, party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said the embargo on all cooperative and rural development from either changing money or dispensing new notes has hurt the agricultural economy. <br/><br/>Mr Surjewala said small and medium industries are shutting down and jobs are being lost on a daily basis as a result of demonetisation. <br/><br/>He claimed that entire informal sector comprising 90 per cent of the country is in deep distress.
