Agriculture Minister and NCP Chief Sharad Pawar says running a coalition government is an art and there is no alternative to alliance governments in the present era. He was speaking at a symposium organized to mark the birth centenary of Maharashtra's first chief minister Yashwantrao Chavan in Mumbai today. Pawar said there are coalition governments in 78 per cent countries in the world.

On solving problems, Pawar said the differences on issue of sugar and cotton export were resolved in a meeting as Prime Minister Manmohan SinghSingh responded positively to suggestions given by UPA alliances.
