Agitation for unified AP gains momentum; CCPA takes stock of situation

In Andhra Pradesh, the agitation in support to the Unified State has been intensified in Rayalaseema and Coasta regions in the absence of any significant decision so far to over come the political crisis. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the Government to re-open all educational institutions in Telangana region immediately. The Government had closed all the educational institutions in view of the Telangana agitation till 19th of this month. On the other hand, the students of several Universities in Rayalaseem and Coasta Andhra Regions have intensified their agitation in support to the Unified state even as the protest fast by MLAs and Congress Viajayawada Lok Sabha Member Raja Gopal are continuing today. Meanwhile, the hectic parleys across the party lines are underway on Unified state on one hand and on Telangana on the other hand. Praja Rajyam Party, from which 14 MLAs out of 16 have resigned, has convened a high level meeting today to review its earlier decision to support separate Telangana state.
