In Odisha, agitation against the Rs 52,000 crore Posco steel project continues at Gobindpur in Jagatsinghpur district. Thousands of villagers are demonstrating in the outskirts of Gobindpur under Dhinkia gram panchayat demanding scrapping of the biggest foreign direct investment (FDI) project. Eminent agricultural scientist, Vandana Shiva, visited Gobindpur today in support of the agitation. Our correspondent reports that, on the other hand, the construction work for Posco rehabilitation colony has also started at Polanga in the project area.
