Three Indian boxers have advanced to the quarter-final stage of Agalarov Cup, an international youth tournament in Azerbaijan. In the first round bouts at Baku today, A Silambarasan (52kg), Kailash Gill (75kg) and Abhishek Beniwal (81kg) exhibited great skills to defeat their respective opponents.In the flyweight category,Silambarasan, dominated the proceedings from the word go and beat Kazimov Natig of Azerbaijan with an impressive score of 5-0. The 17-year old recently won the gold at the 2012 Indo-Sri Lanka Duel Boxing championship in Colombo.In the middle weight division, Gill, the former Junior National Champion, overpowered Farzali Taleh of Azerbaijan by a 3-2 margin in a thrilling contest.In the light heavy weight category, Baneiwal recorded a stunning 5-0 victory over Imnov Pasha, also form Azerbaijan.
