In Afghanistan, at least 17 civilians have been killed when a bicycle bomb went off in the southern Helmand province. Acting provincial police chief Kamaludin Shirzai said terrorists planted explosive device in a bicycle and detonated it on a weekly bazaar in Maljir area between Babaji and Gereshk district this morning. He said 20 others also sustained injuries from the blast. Earlier, Helmand Provincial Administration Spokesman Daud Ahamdi said it could be a suicide bombing targeted farmers who were receiving improved seeds donated by the government. Taliban militants have yet to make any comment.
