In Afghanistan, seven policemen including a unit commander were killed when a suicide car bomber targeted a joint convoy of Afghan and NATO-led forces today in northern province of Kunduz. District governor Mohammad Ayoub Haqyar said one foreign soldier and 11 Afghans were also wounded in the attack which happened in Imam Saheb district near the border with Tajikistan. Taliban have stepped up their attacks in recent months in some areas of the north, which was earlier regarded relatively safe.Meanwhile, a bomb exploded in capital Kabul today morning hitting a police car, but there were casualties. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
