Afghanistan qualify ICC World Cup Twenty 20

Afghanistan has qualified for their second World Cup Twenty 20 tournament appearence to be held in Sri lanka later this year. They defeated Namibia by 47 runs in the first qualifying final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Batting first, Afghanistan scored 146 runs in 20 overs. Chasing a victory target of 147, Namibia were all out for 99 thanks to excellent bowling by Dawlat Zadran and Aftab Alam. Afghanistan is the defending Champion among the qualifying nations for Twenty 20 World Cup.Two teams from among 16 nations will qualify for the World Cup Twenty 20 tournament which will be held in September -October in Srilanka this year.
