Afghanistan qualify ICC World Cup Twenty 20

Defending Champion Afghanistan has qualified for the World Cup Twenty 20 tournament in Srilanka this year. They defeated Namibia by 47 runs in the first qualifying match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. Batting first Afghanistan made 146 runs in 20 overs. Chasing a victory target of 147, Namibia were all out for 99 thanks to excellent bowling by Dawlat Zadran and Aftab Alam. Two teams from among 16 nations will qualify for the World Cup Twenty 20 tournament which will be held in Srilanka this year. The other Final match of the Qualifying rounds will be held in Dubai on Saturday.
