In Afghanistan, one US soldier was killed when a suicide bomber attacked their military convoy in southeastern province of Khost today . Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack . Meanwhile Afghan and foreign troops killed 22 Taliban militants in a joint operation in the western province of Farah last night. An interior ministry statement said twelve militants were also arrested by the joint forces during the four-hour operation . More than 40 weapons were also seized from the militants. Earlier on Monday the Afghan and US forces had killed up to 40 Taliban in Farah province. Violence is on the rise and 30 civilians were killed on Tuesday in a roadside bomb explosion.<br/>
