Afghanistan has bagged Gold award in the category of foreign sector while the State of Kerala received State Pavilion Gold Award at a function in the India International Trade Fair 2009 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Friday. Along with this, several other awards were given in different categories by the Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Indian Trade Promotion Organisation has done a commendable job in organizing such events which help in promoting trade and cultural relations among countries. He said that Pragati Maidan will be given a new looking during next year's Commonwealth Games. The 14-day fair will conclude on Friday evening.<br/>
