Afghan President Hamid Karzai and US President Barack Obama have held a video phone conversation and discussed about the prospects of peace in the troubled nation. <br/><br/>A statement issued by the Afghan President's office in Kabul said during the talks, Mr. Karzai acquainted the US President with Afghanistan's efforts towards acceleration of peace and national reconciliation.
