Taliban militant group in Afghanistan has announced a new campaign of attacks on foreigners and their supporters from tomorrow, the day President Hamid Karzai leaves on a crucial visit to US. A statement emailed to a news agency said the operation would target diplomats, members of the Afghan parliament and foreign contractors as well as foreign forces operating in Afghanistan. It said that the spring operation by the name of Al-Faath or victory will include tactics such as bombings, assassinations and kidnappings. Reacting to the statement, Afghan Defence Minister Abdul Rahim Wardak, said that he doubted that the militants had capabilities to resist the NATO-led troops in conventional war. He said that it is more of propaganda campaign than to be a reality. Afghan President is to lead a high -level delegation during his four-day visit to US which includes meeting with President Barack Obama. <br/> <br/>
