Afghan President Hamid Karzai has called upon the youth of the country to make every effort in gaining knowledge and education as the country will be built strong only by their ability and power. Speaking to the media after the Eid prayer in Kabul on Tuesday, he wished for the health, prosperity, peace and security of Afghan people.President Karzai called upon the insurgents to give up the path of violence and help rebuild their country. Describing the use of children for suicide bombing as inhumane, un-Islamic and cruel, President Karzai asked the insurgents to stop such heinous acts. On the occasion of Eid, he handed over five children who had been misguided by the insurgents for suicide bombing, to their parents.Children are the most precious asset of any country. They are called the future of the nation. There cannot be a bigger crime than to fasten explosives to a child’s body and tell him to go and commit suicide attack. But this is what is happening in Afghanistan.Teenage children are being misled by insurgents to become suicide bomber. On the occasion of Eid President Hamid Karzai pardoned 20 of such children. Some of them were as young as seven years. The insurgents have trained them for suicide bomb blasts but they were detained by the security forces before committing any incident.Five younger children have been given back to their parents yesterday and the older ones would return to their homes after completing their education and reintegration program.
