Afghan parliament rejects Karzai nominees for cabinet posts

Afghanistan's parliament has rejected five of President Hamid Karzai's nominees for cabinet posts. The vote count continued today to finally form a government. <br/><br/>The secret ballot of the more than 200 parliamentarians was held to approve the 24 nominees to the Afghan cabinet. After counting votes for ten nominees, only five had been approved.The five nominees rejected included Ismail Khan, a warlord who had been nominated as Water and Energy minister.<br/>
