Afghan needs US help & to eliminate Taliban & Al-Qaeda: Karzai

Afghan President Hamid Karzai today asked the international community to be patience and be it with even if it takes longer for his country to completely eliminate the Taliban and Al Qaeda. "We will try our best but the international community must have also the patience with us," Karzai told CNN in an interview. Karzai said he wants to have in Afghanistan in another two years the ability to lead operations and provide security for the Afghan people especially in those parts where they have trouble fighting terrorism.Karzai also sought US support in his government's effort to hold talks with Taliban, a move over which US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton expressed her scepticism. "Alone, we can't do it. I do see an urgent need for a negotiated approach," Karzai said.Referring to Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar Karzai said, "I would very much want to negotiate with him (Omar), provided he renounces violence, provided all connections with Al-Qaeda and terrorist networks are cut off.
