In Afghanistan, the joint Afghan and NATO coalition troops have detained several insurgents in Farah and Helmand provinces. The International Joint Command in Kabul on Wednesday said those detained were responsible for supplying lethal aid to insurgents used in attacks against Afghan and the NATO forces. In the eastern Ghazni province the joint forces seized a weapons cache during an operation on Tuesday. The seized seven rounds of mortar and five rocket propelled grenades were safely destroyed. In Chorah district of Uruzgan province, coalition forces recovered several sophisticated arms and ammunition from the insurgents.
