An Afghan National Police commander and eight police officers were killed in a roadside bomb explosion in Waghez district of Afghanistan's eastern Ghazni province this afternoon. According to media reports the district police commander and eight policemen were attempting to defuse an improvised explosive device when it suddenly went off killing them all. Ghazni is about 145 KMs south West of Kabul. Security of the province has been partially handed over to the Afghan security forces.
