Afghanistan government today blamed Al-Qaida network for organizing the Monday attacks in capital Kabul that left 15 people dead including 10 suicide bombers. An intelligence official Mohammad Naeem Balouch told a press conference that a terrorist arrested recently has confessed during an investigation to his link with al-Qaida.He said that 188 terrorist networks have been unearthed recently but did not give details. Mr. Baluch said ammunition and weapons have been seized from the house of arrested militant along with paint that he said had been used to disguise an explosives-packed vehicle as an ambulance. The driver of the fake ambulance blew himself up at a police checkpoint as fighting was going on elsewhere in the capital .The official said that Al-qaeda is directly linked to Haqqani network, which has its base in north Waziristan of Pakistan. US officials have recently sought to pressurize Pakistan government for attacking Haqqani network but the latter has remained non committal. Meanwhile, five US soldiers have died in Afghanistan since yesterday in separate incidents of roadside bomb explosions.
