In Afghanistan, unknown gunmen killed a senior police intelligence official, as he was on his way home near Kabul. Intelligence chief Sayed Abdul Ghafar Sayedzada said director of the intelligence department of Kabul's counter crime police branch Mohammad Gul was shot dead along with one of his bodyguards late yesterday near his home in Paghman district, a picnic valley west of Kabul. He said the case in under investigation and they don’t know yet who the attackers were. Taliban militants have been blamed for similar assassinations in southern provinces where militancy is strong.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, two foreign soldiers died in eastern and southern Afghanistan of insurgent attack and roadside bomb explosion respectively. The nationalities of soldiers were not revealed immediately.
