Afghanistan government has denounced the western policy of categorizing the warlords as good and bad depending on their needs. Afghan foreign minister Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta today said international community has changed its relations with those same warlords who were instrumental in removing Taliban from power in 2001. Addressing a press conference with his Swedish counterpart in Kabul, Dr. Spanta said the Afghan government is not completely against these warlords considering its national interests if they are willing to embrace justice and have legitimacy in the eyes of people. His comments came as there is a lot of pressure on Afghanistan President to tackle corruption and rid the government of such warlords. Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt, who earlier met Afghan President Hamid Karzai, said the international community is in Afghanistan for state-building and not to support warlords. Mr. Bildt, whose country holds the rotating EU presidency, however, assured that civilian-political aid from European countries will increase in the coming years. The Sweish foreign minister is most senior official from a Western state to visit Afghanistan since Mr. Karzai's re-election was announced last week.<br/>
